Teamwork is the key to our success. Indeed dragon boating is a very demanding sport in not just strength and endurance but staying fit and healthy is the greatest challenge. Penang Forward Sports Club (PFSC) was established in 1978 by a group of jogging enthusiasts. The only activity at that time was jogging, hiking, etc. In 1986, PFSC was registered as the official sports club in Penang. In the early eighties, water sports in Penang started to boom. The Penang State Government placed high focus in its tourism industry to attract visitors around the world. Realizing the importance of making Penang state proud,

PFSC has extended its activities in the dragon boat event. The team’s very first race started way back in 1982. All members came as one team to win. The reason behind this was the great leadership, teamwork, team spirit, discipline, and co-operation among the members that made PFSC the champion. Such achievement provided PFSC the confident to come back for more. Since then dragon boat has been one of the activities that stood out for the club. We have participated in this sport in subsequent years and have built a strong vision.
