PFSC presents, in association with Freyssinet, Paddle for Hope Dragon Boat Endurance Challenge 2009.

Dragon boat racing as a sport normally only takes place over a distance of 200m to 1000m.

However, on July 18^th 2009 a unique event will take place at the seafront of Queensbay Mall Penang.

We will attempt to paddle a 20-crew boat for 80km in 12hrs (approximately the same distance as around Penang island).

Our aim is to raise fund for local charities and also to list in the Malaysia Book of Record for the ‘longest distance paddling relay in a dragon boat’.

The event endorsed by our Penang State Tourism together co-organized by Intel Malaysia will mark this symbolic gesture into the history of Penang dragon boating.
